When we hit the “one month until baby” milestone last week, I had a bit of a moment.
It wasn’t a lack of preparation. It was just… all the stuff I needed—clothes, car seat, baby gear—was buried in the crawlspace. Out of reach. Creating low-level chaos in my brain.
So I did what any Type A/B hybrid would do—I pulled everything out, got organized, and lined up all the baby clothes by size (even though I won’t need the 3–6 month ones for a while).
And afterward? I felt so much better.
Because when life feels chaotic, preparation is power.
That applies to selling your home, too.
Even if you don’t plan to list until next spring—or someday—there’s real value in getting ahead of the game.
Ask yourself:
Do I know what my home might sell for?
What updates or small improvements would help me net more?
How long would it take me to really get it ready to list?
Just like digging out baby gear before you need it, prepping now means less stress later.
And when the time is right to list? You’ll already be ahead of the game.
If you’re thinking, “We’ll probably sell eventually…”
Let’s talk.
We’ll map out next steps, prep at your pace, and set you up for a smooth, confident transition when the time comes.
P.S. Baby’s on the way, but I’m still here for your real estate plans!
I’ve built systems and workflows with my team to make sure my sellers are fully supported—before, during, and after baby. Want to get a jumpstart on a future sale? Let’s do it.
